Here are some updates on USC Beaufort's athletic schedule for this weekend, which has been shuffled because of expected bad weather.
In softball, Friday's doubleheader at Truett-McConnell has been postponed. as of yet, there is no make-up date.
Saturday's doubleheader at Emmanuel College has been pushed back to 1 p.m. Sunday.
For baseball, Saturday's home doubleheader against Fisher College will become a single game played at 1 p.m. Friday.
Sunday's doubleheader against Fisher College is still on as scheduled, if weather permits.
WHAT A RELIEF!
In the Sand Sharks' doubleheader sweep of Brewton-Parker on Wednesday, senior right-hander Miles Galvin worked two scoreless innings in relief in Game 1, and junior right-hander Hunter Englehart pitched two scoreless frames in relief in Game 2.

Here are some more notes from Wednesday's doubleheader, courtesy of USC Beaufort sports information director Justin Jarrett: Freshman 3B Brandon Joyce went 3-for-7 in the doubleheader to raise his average to .304, tied with Mitchell Johnson for the team lead. ... Erik Armstrong took over the team lead with his 12th RBI. ... CF Ryan Doeppel went 3-for-5 in the doubleheader to raise his average 76 points to .250. ... All four of the Barons' losses have come by one run (1-4). The Sand Sharks are 2-2 in one-run games.
