Nick Bautista’s high school career may be over, but that hasn’t stopped the honors from pouring in for the Hilton Head Island High lacrosse standout.
The Seahawks’ star has been selected to the Champion All-American Showcase, a U.S. Lacrosse event as part of the ESPNHS Games. The showcase features 96 of the country’s best seniors, who will play in a four-team format over three days at the ESPN Wide World of Sports Complex in Lake Buena Vista, Fla.
Bautista’s placement in the field is just another in a long list of honors for the Seahawk, as he also collected the state’s Midfielder of the Year honor as well as a spot on the U.S. Lacrosse All-American team. He was also named The Island Packet and The Beaufort Gazette’s boys lacrosse player of the year.
As one of only two seniors for the Seahawks, Bautista led Hilton Head High to a 10-5 record and a berth in the Lower State finals. He capped his career by netting 37 goals and a team-leading 27 assists. He plans on going out for the club lacrosse team at USC next season.
