There's another Clemson party flier out there

Stephen Fastenau reported today on a party flier promoting a party for March 3, the birthday of former Beaufort High star Justin Parker, now a linebacker at Clemson. The flier features images of current Clemson players Parker and Darius Robinson.
There is another party flier featuring the image of a Clemson football player in uniform on Parker's public Facebook page. The image was from November and advertises a Clemson football "Shock the World" official party at The Vault on Nov. 12 in Seneca.
Clemson athletics spokesman Tim Bourret has been contacted for comment.

Five area players named All-State

Five area players were named to the S.C. Basketball Coaches Association 2011-2012 All-State basketball teams.
For the boys, Bluffton's Bryson Bell was named to the 3-A team. On the girls side, Bluffton's Tibra Wheeler and Hilton Head High's Sabrina Drammis made the 3-A team, while Whale Branch's S'Nitra Mack and Ridgeland's April Jenkins made the 1-A squad.

SCISAA playoff brackets are set

The South Carolina Independent Schools Athletic Association's 2012 playoff brackets are out and we know when and where our six area playoff teams will be in action later this week.
In the girls 2-A playoffs, Thomas Heyward is the top seed in the lower half of the bracket and will face No. 8 see Byrnes Schools at 6:30 p.m. Friday at Porter-Gaud in Charleston.
Beaufort Academy is the No. 7 seed in the lower half of the bracket and will play No. 2 seed Colleton Prep at 8 p.m. Friday at Porter-Gaud.

Berkeley Hall touring pro and former Clemson All-American Kyle Stanley remains first on the PGA Tour money list ($1,793,575) and first in the FedExCup Standings through tournaments of Feb. 12. He is also second behind Phil Mickelson in Ryder Cup points among United States players.

Beaufort's Jackson headed to national championships

Former Beaufort High School wrestler Kenan Jackson finished as runner-up in the 157-pound category for Spartanburg Methodist College on Saturday at the Eastern District tournament in Lancaster, Pa.
The finish makes him an automatic qualifier for the NJCAA national championships Feb. 23-25 in Rochester, Minn.
