Installation of pavement markings will cause temporary lane closures along Mathews Drive, north of William Hilton Parkway, and at the Beach City Road roundabout on Hilton Head Island Thursday and Friday.

The closures will be brief and should cause only temporary delays, according to a Town of Hilton Head Island news release.

The work is part of the town’s Mathews Drive pathway project, which connects existing pathways along William Hilton Parkway and Beach City Road.

Motorists traveling through the area are urged to use caution.
