As much as I love clever and innovative advertising, sometimes there is no better or more powerful marketing tool than word-of-mouth.
This is especially true when it comes to technology.
We’ve all been there. Your friend buys a new gadget, won’t stop talking about said gadget, shows you said gadget and suddenly you can’t imagine your life without said gadget.
It happened with the iPod. It happened with the iPhone and the iPad and with numerous video-gaming consoles, and most recently it happened with me and a tiny black speaker — the Logitech UE Mobile BoomBox.
A wireless speaker had long been on my wishlist, and Jawbone’s popular Jambox was out of my price range after I foolishly passed on a Black Friday deal that all but halved the price of this asthetically flawless gadget, so my quest continued.
Favorable reviews and an even more favorable $99 price-point led me to the Logitech UE Mobile BoomBox, which, like the Jambox, streams music from your Bluetooth-capable devices like your iPhone, iPad and your laptop.
Buying this compact piece of heaven was one of the wisest purchases I’ve made in quite some time.
The speaker hadn’t been out of the box for a minute and I had already linked it to my iPhone and was streaming songs from the Spotify app on my phone. This is the future.
Audiophiles may find some problems with the speaker’s somewhat lackluster low-end bass, and pairing it with different devices is a bit of a hassle, but having this speaker and a Spotify account almost nullifies the need to actually buy new albums.
Sorry, music industry.
Upon demonstrating it for friends and family, they all wanted one and many went out and purchased their own.
Perfect for cookouts, dinner parties or rainy afternoons, the Logitech UE Mobile BoomBox is a must-have for music lovers.
