Hugo's has been winning big lately, and now their success continues with Restaurant Week.
Last year, to liven things up a bit, the Hilton Head Island-Bluffton Chamber of Commerce instituted a people's choice award during the annual Restaurant Week. Attendees of the chamber's event -- where more than 60 restaurants offer fixed-price menus to help drum up business in the off-season -- also get to vote on what restaurant had the best deal.
Hugo's won a close race, according to the chamber. The Hilton Head restaurant has been winning a lot lately. It won best dish at Taste of the Season along with the judge's vote and people's choice at the Lowcountry Soup Challenge.

"The people's choice vote has been tallied and the winner of this year's 2013 Chamber Restaurant Week Champion is Hugo's Seafood & Steakhouse.
Chamber Restaurant Week, presented by the Hilton Head Island-Bluffton Chamber of Commerce, on Saturday, January 26 through Saturday, February 2nd was well represented as 75 chamber member area restaurants with special value-priced menus participated in the fifth annual event.
'We had our best Chamber Restaurant Week yet,' said Brandon Arrieta of Hugo's Seafood & Steakhouse. 'Overall, we served over 1,500 guests during Chamber Restaurant Week and closely matched that number in rain-check reservations as well.'
The competition was tight as chamber restaurants vied for the annual champion title, chosen by dining establishment patrons who selected their favorite dining experience by voting on the chamber's website as well as via email and on Facebook. Hugo's Seafood & Steakhouse, the chosen Chamber Restaurant Week Champion, gets bragging rights for the year. Hudson's Seafood House on the Docks took second place and Sea Grass Grille placed third.
Modeled after successful restaurant weeks in New York and other cities, Chamber Restaurant Week has become one of the area's most popular weeks for dining out.
This year more than 53,000 people visited the Chamber Restaurant Week web page to view participating restaurant menus and websites."
