The Beaufort County Board of Education will meet at 3:30 p.m. Tuesday at the school district offices, 3200 Mink Point Blvd in Beaufort.
The school board’s agenda says it will meet in executive session to discuss a personnel matter. Chairman Fred Washington, Jr. said he anticipated the extended leave of H.E. McCracken Middle School principal Phillip Shaw would be discussed. Other issues might be discussed, too, he said.
Washington said he was not sure whether the board would come out of executive session in order to take action on any issues.
Shaw has been on leave since early November. District officials have declined to say why he is gone, citing employee privacy.
