Changes are in store for the popular Hilton Head Island seafood restaurant.

From a release:

"Hudson’s Seafood House on the Docks is delighted to announce the appointment of acclaimed chef Lloyd Alberson as the restaurant’s new Executive Chef. Alberson is a respected chef with more than 20 years of experience cooking at restaurants around the United States.

Alberson hails from Butler, Ala., where he graduated from Troy University with a degree in marketing and anthropology before melding his interests into the culinary arts degree at Faulkner University. His training has followed a rich and diverse path – from opening several restaurants on the Gulf Shore, to Park City Utah, at the Deer Valley Resort where he developed a proclivity for wild game.

Alberson adds another twist to his dishes by embracing Lowcountry Cuisine, a move that is not a stretch as he calls upon his Southern roots, his growing family including wife, Jenny, and 3 children, Eli, Annajane, and Jack, as well as mother and brother on nearby St. Simons Island. Alberson says he chooses Hilton Head Island for the next chapter in his ambitious and eclectic career for the community and the thriving culinary scene.

'It is every chef’s dream to work with the freshest seafood available anywhere. I look forward to contributing my best efforts towards improving this iconic island institution,' says Alberson.

Hudson's Seafood House on the Docks is Hilton Head Island's oldest and most treasured restaurant with 44 years of casual dining experience featuring fresh, local seafood and spectacular views of the Intracoastal Waterway."
