
The Hilton Head Island Seafood Festival is a two-day event this year. Like several other festivals lately (WingFest, Oyster Fest), organizers have decided to hold a pre-party, so to say, the night before. So, a smaller version of the fest will be held Friday evening followed by the main event Saturday afternoon at Shelter Cove Community Park. Here's the rundown for each day.
Friday
5 to 8 p.m.
Restaurants: Hudson’s Seafood House on the Docks, Skull Creek Boathouse and Street Meet
Music: Cranford and Sons
Admission: $5, free for kids 12 and under (pay for food samples)
Saturday
11 a.m. to 5 p.m.
Restaurants: Alexander’s, American Culinary Federation, Black Marlin, Bluffton Oyster Co., The Chart House, The Crazy Crab, Giuseppi’s, Hudson’s Seafood House on the Docks, The Old Oyster Factory, Red Fish, Skull Creek Boathouse, Steamers Seafood, Street Meet and Wreck of the Salty Dog
Music: The Headliners
Activities: Kids zone, silent auction, Iron Chef competition (starts at noon), crab races, bocce ball tournament
Admission: $5, free for kids 12 and under (pay for food samples)
