NOTE FROM THE AUTHOR: Some of you may have noticed this blog has been a bit quiet for a week or two — at least I hope someone noticed. Some of you may have further noticed the profile picture and information has changed — I especially hope someone noticed this, as the preceding author of this blog quite is a bit taller with shorter hair, and also a man.

If you have not noticed these things, allow me to introduce myself as your new county reporter and captain at the helm of this blog. I'm still getting to know the beat, but I hope at the very least you all (I'm from Wisconsin so I haven't grown into my "y'all" yet) can look to this page as a one-stop shop for upcoming county meetings and events.
