A weekend full of Halloween tricks and treats

Sandbox fundraiser at Barnes and Noble
What: Fundraiser for the Sandbox. Youngsters are encouraged to wear costumes. Halloween arts and crafts, floor puzzles, a “not-so spooky” story time, costume parade and contests.
When: 4:30-6:30 p.m. today and 10 a.m.-1 p.m. Saturday

Trick-or-treating at Shelter Cove Harbour
What: Free Halloween giveaways for guests of all ages; free candy for children 12 and under.

Wardle YMCA Halloween Party
What: The YMCA of Beaufort County is holding a free Halloween Party for area families. Children of all ages and their parents are invited to participate in the event, which will include pumpkin carving, games, bounce houses, balloon animals, prizes, popcorn and snow cones. There will be a toddler area for the little ones and all children are encouraged to wear costumes.
When: 6:30 to 8:30 p.m. Saturday

Halloween hayrides
What: Little goblins can show off their Halloween gear in The Sea Pines Forest Preserve during a tour of the Sea Pines Resort pumpkin patch. For guests of the Sea Pines Resort and Hilton Head Island residents, prices are $10 per adult and $8 per child 12 and under; otherwise $11 per adult and $9 per child.
When: 1-2 p.m. and 2:15-3:15 p.m. Saturday

Cemetery Clean-Up
What: The Bluffton Historical Preservation Society will sponsor an All Saints Eve Cemetery Clean Up. Bring your own rakes, gloves and gardening tools. Community service hours are available, but you must stay throughout the entire clean-up. Appropriate holiday costumes are optional.
When: 10 a.m. to noon Saturday.
