Photographers can't say 'I Do' on IOP beach

  • No professionals allowed on beach: The Charleston City Paper tells how the Isle of Palms is breaking hearts by banning vendors -
  • like professional photographers - from working on the beach.

    That's a big deal for brides planning beach weddings.

    Maybe they could at least let 'em eat cake. If Mama made it.

    Charleston City Paper wrote:
    The Isle of Palms isn't concerned about losing that tourism revenue if weddings are relocated to other beaches, acting mayor Carol Rice says. The town doesn't claim to offer prospective brides anything more than the sun, sand, and surf.

    "We're not a catering venue," she says.
