It's one thing to be drunk and high and therefore so completely out of it that you forget your underwear or just don't care who sees what ... But to be drinking water and still not know (or care) if your shirt's on right? And worse, to have an entourage of people around you who don't see it as their place to tell you something needs to be covered? One can only conclude that she does it on purpose and, for the life of me, I can't figure out why. What does she stand to gain from getting photographed in some haphazard state of dress? Not once have I ever heard anyone say, "That's so cool how Britney Spears doesn't wear underwear with her miniskirt but then gets into a car as if she were wearing ski pants."
It's interesting to note that Britney Spears has a wardrobe for her dogs. So that tells me she at least understands there is such a thing as clothing. Maybe she thinks humans are like Maltipoos and that clothing is just decoration or for folly. Or that we're like Donald Duck and don't need pants.
To be fair, she's never had a lick of fashion sense, so maybe the less clothing the better. And it's a shame really. She has the money to look good ... she can buy classy if she wants classy. Though I've read that stylists have had it with her because she never takes their advice and always ends up right back in the ill-fitting, peek-a-boo outfits (shoes optional).
And truly, I'd give Britney kudos for doing her own thing, but that's not a unique look. Go to any casino "boutique" and you'll feel as though you just walked into her closet. "Is that a bikini or a dress?" "Are you sure that's a skirt? I thought it was a belt." "Why is there no underwear section?"
It'd be simple to say that Britney Spears does this because she is an exhibitionist, but that's just not the case. Paris Hilton is an exhibitionist. Madonna is an exhibitionist. They do that stuff with the intention of creating a buzz. It's part of their business plan. Britney is just flailing around like a lottery winner from a shady trailer park (sorry, shady trailer park lottery winners ... but it's true). She has no education, no business sense and no personal pride. She lets it all hang out because it's all she has left.
